Female* Rehabilitation Support Worker, LC274

A Chance for Life Ltd is a successful and growing rehabilitation company, registered by the Care Quality Commission, providing services to children and adults across the north of England and Scotland.

We are currently recruiting for a Female Rehabilitation Support Worker to work with a young woman with Cerebral Palsy in her home and in the community.


You will be working within a friendly dedicated team on a rota basis, including morning, evening, weekend and sleep shifts. Your duties will include; transport and support to attend appointments, assist with physical rehabilitation and help with general activities including assistance to walk and care for a small dog. You will be working with our Client to support her with personal care, social and leisure activities.

  • Weekly Hours of Work:

07.00 – 08.30 (morning shift)
17.30 – 21.30 (evening shift)
21.30 – 08.00 (sleep shift)
08.00 – 16.00 (day shift) on a Thursday and Friday

Day time hours will differ in school holidays.

  • Weekend Hours of Work:

Saturday: 08.00 – 16.00, 17.30 – 21.30, 21.30 – 08.00 (sleep)
Sunday: 08.00 – 10.00, 17.30 – 21.30, 21.30 – 08.00 (sleep)

Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Driving licence and car owner is ESSENTIAL.
  • Experience of working with young people with disabilities would be an advantage but not essential.
  • You will be trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g. completed Year 1/ Level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course)
