Would you like to be part of a great support team who enable a gentleman with an acquired brain injury to live in his own home and take part in a range of different activities? Then come and join our team!
You will be required to work with a friendly, outgoing gentleman with an acquired brain injury, as part of an established team. Our client has a keen interest in sport, in particular football, going to all Newcastle United games as well as local team matches. He also enjoys playing darts and plays in a local league. Our client enjoys going to the gym, listening to music and socialising with friends and family. He also takes part in voluntary work. You will support our client by encouraging and motivating him to take part in his structured daily activities, and by accompanying him to his leisure activities.
Although part of an established team, you will lone work in our client’s own home and out in the community.
The salary for this role is £13.79 per hour, plus enhancements for weekends and bank holidays. Sleep shifts are paid per hour at the national minimum wage rate. This role includes weekday, weekend and sleep shifts on a rota basis.
Duties will include following our client’s weekly routines, supporting him with prompts around personal care, household management, social and leisure activities and following recommendations set by his personal trainer.
You will be employed by the client but managed and supported by A Chance for Life Ltd who will provide your supervision and training.

All new starters take part in our peer-reviewed induction program through probation, as well as ongoing supervision. We provide bespoke in-house training, as well as sourcing specialised client-specific training.
