Description

You will be required to work with a 43 year old lady with physical difficulties in her home and the community. This post would ideally suit someone with previous rehabilitation support experience and an interest in physical health and wellbeing. If you are reliable, positive, upbeat and like making a difference this is a fantastic part-time job for the right person, ideally suited for a candidate with an interest in rehabilitation disciplines following trauma and life changing injuries. The salary for this role is £11 per hour depending on experience. Full training and supervision will be given.

Duties

We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, proactive support worker to facilitate independent living and physical rehabilitation. Responsibilities include driving and attending clinical and rehab appointments, assisting the client with physiotherapy and exercise, supporting with creative projects, preparing meals when the client is unable, maintaining the home in a clean and tidy condition and looking after two small dogs. This position is based within the family home in East Lancashire.

The hours will vary and are dependent on number and location of appointments, legal and clinical, therefore a high level of flexibility is required. Candidates will also need to be available outside of traditional office hours and weekends, with a minimum of 16 hours a week being contracted. Notice of shifts tends to be a week or two in advance.

An interest in art, photography, gardening and core strength-based exercise would be beneficial.
