We have exciting vacancies in the field of learning disabilities for professional and friendly support workers to join us in supporting a delightful young gentleman within his home, to access the community around him and achieve his full potential in life. The young gentleman has cerebral palsy, a learning disability and epilepsy; he has a fantastic sense of humour, is very good at and loves to go bowling and participate in many other exciting activities.
Duties will involve supporting the client in all aspects of daily life and in activities that are important to him. Hours will include both day and night shifts. You will work as part of an experienced team of support staff who work under the guidance of a qualified case manager and will be actively involved in working with a specialist multidisciplinary team to promote the client’s independence. Applicants must be highly motivated with experience and interest in challenging behaviour and in positively supporting this young man to live his ‘best quality of life’.
