Calling all lovers of local history and wildlife
We are recruiting a female support worker to support our male client in Cumbria.
Our 49-year-old client sustained an acquired brain injury following a bike accident a few years ago. You will be supporting them to access the community, assisting with their weekly shopping and meal planning, supporting to do activities that they enjoy such as heading to the coast and into the countryside to enjoy the views and the surrounding areas. Our client has a great sense of humour and an extensive knowledge of local history.
This role would suit someone who has an interest in local history, motorbikes, films, wildlife and of course a sense of humour is an absolute must!
The salary for this role is £12 per hour depending on experience.
Your duties will include taking the client out into the community so that they can complete their shopping duties and being socially involved with other people in the community. You will also attend medical appointments with the client, other duties will include encouraging the client to engage in therapy programmes set out alongside other healthcare professionals to support the client to live actively and independently.
